上海常青藤学校注重培养在校学生的个性发展及特长，并且为在校学生提供各类参与海内外竞赛的机会。加拿大全球著名学府滑铁卢大学在中国区域举办“加拿大滑铁卢大学数学竞赛（中国赛区初赛）”，得到了常青藤9-11年级同学们的热烈响应，通过比赛可以了解国外大学出题特点、考前备考进一步加强了学生用英语解数学题的能力，也为申请美国和加拿大大学理工科专业大大提升了竞争力。

    IVY pays attention to students' personality development and expertise, and provides various opportunities for students to participate in competitions in all over the world. The Canada's famous University Waterloo, held "waterloo math contest (the first race of the Chinese race area)", and it received the enthusiastic response of the students from grade 9-11 of IVY. Through competition, students can understand the characteristics of foreign universities and prepare for examinations, which further strengthens students' ability to solve math problems in English. It also increased competitiveness for the application of the science and engineering majors in Universities in the US and Canada.
